Meltem Güzelgülgen is an MSc student at Bioengineering Department, Izmir Institute of Technology. She received her BSc degree in Bioengineering in 2017 from Ege University. Her graduation thesis was “Characterization and 3D Bioprinting of Bacterial Cellulose as Scaffold for Bone Tissue Engineering”. This study was collaborated with ȦBO Akademi Faculty of Pharmacy and supported by a grant from TUBITAK 2209-A National Research Projects Fellowship Programme for Undergraduate Students.
Currently, she is a member of Biomimetics Group and her research interests are the design of three dimensional (3D) extracellular matrix mimetics for tissue engineering applications and cell differentiation mechanisms.
